BLAST! FAQ

Q.  Is BLAST! similar to what my kid experiences on the weekends?

A.  No, we have intentionally created an experience that is different from weekends. BLAST! goes deeper into the Bible and allows for more discussion with a smaller leader child ratio. Kids will enjoy rotations with their group leader, including lesson, music, crafts, games and snack!

Q.  Can I get involved in BLAST! with my child?

A.  We have lots of options and would love to have you join our team! Simply contact us and let us know!

Q.  How often is BLAST! offered?

A.  BLAST! is offered twice a year! A spring session and a fall session are offered on Wednesday nights.

Q.  What if I can't afford the supply fee?

A.  If you are able to pay the supply fee, we appreciate it greatly as this helps offset costs for program. If you are not able to pay the fees, we don't want that to stop your children from participating! If you need financial assistance, please contact GCC Children's Minister, Mai Grace Hunter for options.

Q.  Is there anything for me to do while BLAST! is in session?

A. Yes, there are several options for you! Campus GROW groups (7-8:30PM) are offered in The Gathering. You can also choose to serve in BLAST!, PreTeen or High School Ministry. Childcare is available ($4 per week/child). Pre-registration is required for childcare.

Q.  Do I have to stay on campus if my child is in BLAST!?

A.  No, you may drop your child off at BLAST! and leave campus if you like. We will need your contact information and a completed Medical Release Form in the event your child becomes ill or an emergency arises. Drop-off is NOT permitted for childcare (Infants - age 2).

Q.  What about my 5th grade student?

A.  That is a great question!  PreTeen Ministry offers a serving opportunity for your 5th/6th grader on Wednesday nights.

Q.  What if my child isn't potty trained yet?

A.  Your child must be potty trained to participate in BLAST. Sometimes young 3 year old children are not quite ready for the program. If that is the case with your child, and you are engaged in a Campus GROW Group or serving at GCC on Wednesday evenings, your young 3 year old child is welcome in childcare.

If you have additional questions, please contact us. Thank you!
