Volunteer Agreement

The privacy of those we serve must be held in utmost confidence. Thank you so much for your willingness to help us in our mission to CONNECT PEOPLE to CHRIST.

Each volunteer should read this information and complete the acknowledgement information below.

In the course of ministry, some volunteers may have access to verbal information, records and reports which are considered sensitive or confidential. As good stewards, we must guard the information under its care to preserve the trust relationship. Because improper disclosure of this information may cause harm to Generations, it is extremely important that confidential information be kept in confidence.

Examples of sensitive and confidential matters include but are not limited to:

  • Member | Prospect Information  
  • Personal Employee Data
  • Prayer Requests s Legal Matters

In the course of ministry, information is provided that could destroy lives, marriages, families and even churches. It is imperative that employees and volunteers keep confidential information in confidence. 

As a volunteer, you will be expected to maintain the following practical rules:

  • Whatever is told in confidence, should not be repeated.
  • Whenever discussions involve people, do not gossip.
  • When there are disagreements, do not slander.
  • Information regarding staff or church business should not be discussed with the congregation.

Generations Christian Church has the highest regard for the integrity of each employee and church member. Volunteers who improperly use or disclose confidential information may be asked to resign from their volunteer role.
