One of the best ways to get connected to Christ and the GCC family is by participating in a small group. Our small groups are called Core Groups.

We believe CORE Groups are the best place for authentic, Godly life-change to happen. In a small group setting with 8-12 people who want to grow spiritually and relationally, real life answers can be found through a Christ-centered focus. As you meet regularly to learn what God’s Word teaches, discover how His truths work in your life, pray for each other, develop friendships, enjoy social activities together, and serve others inside and outside of your group, you begin to experience what it means to be part of God’s family. Simply put, you “do life together-God’s way,” much like Jesus’ disciples did!

Because one size doesn't fit all, we have several kinds of CORE Groups.  Find the fit that's right for you; you'll love it!

IN-HOME CORE Groups meet weekly or every other week, according to the group’s choice. Each home group decides what works best for their schedule and what they want to study. The home setting creates a natural environment where a deeper level of conversation and accountability often happens.  Since Core Groups are all about doing life together...the best place to get to know each other is "where you live!"  Many home groups enjoy meals together, rotate meeting in each other’s homes, do service projects in the church and community, and have fun socializing outside of their scheduled group time.  To see a listing of our in-home groups, click on the link "Find a Group" on the right side of this page.

ON-CAMPUS CORE Groups meet weekly in The Gathering for designated times and studies throughout the year. If you're new to CORE Groups or just haven't found the right group fit, this is a great way to find your place to belong.  In a casual, relaxed atmosphere, you can experience what CORE Groups are all about, get acquainted with new people, and find the group that's right for you.  Anyone is welcome to join in at any time, but you’ll have the best experience if you stick with a study from beginning to end.  Some groups decide they have just the right mix and want  to continue together, either on-campus or in a home setting; and that's a very good thing!

Parents!  If you have infants-5th grade, on-campus childcare is also available, but only with your ONLINE registration and pre-payment by 2/9!

Our next On-campus Core Group study series, CONTAGIOUS GENEROSITY, begins Thursday, February 16, for 5 weeks, 7-8:30 PM, in The Gathering.  SIGN UP NOW!  Click on:  On-Campus Core Group

FIND YOUR GROUP ... Browse Our Core Group Listing

Click on "Find a Core Group" in the "Links" section on the right-hand side of this page to look for a group. The initial Browse Core Groups page will list all of our groups, those that are open for new friends, as well as the ones that are full. Look through the listing for one that's not "full" and find a group or two that might work for you. Click on Email Facilitator to send an email to the facilitator to let them know you would like to find out more about their group. Check back often, new groups are always in the making! And you're welcome to visit more than one group to find the one that's right for you.  If you don't see a group that works for you, please consider joining our On-Campus group that's a great place to start.

CORE GROUP RESOURCES ...
Message Notes & Study Guide

On Fridays, you can go to the "Watch" tab on our website homepage to download and print a "Notes" page and a "Study Guide" that goes along with the upcoming weekend message. Take the "Notes" page with you to the service to see the scripture references that are used, along with thoughts or message points from the speaker, and space for you to jot down your thoughts...especially those you sense are from God.  The companion "Study Guide" is message-focused and can be used for personal study at home or together with your Core Group.

The message study guides are a curriculum option that many groups enjoy and benefit from. Being on the same page, so to speak, as the message that's given in our corporate worship time gives us individually and as Core Groups an additional opportunity to focus on God's specific leading and plan for us at GCC. Your group can decide to do the study together in group time and share your "challenge" experience the next time you meet. Or, you can do the study on your own personal time and share your answers and experiences when you meet together. There's no right or wrong way to do the study. Meet weekly and do one study, or meet every other week and do two studies during your group time.
