CROP HUNGER WALK - March 10
Join us for this community-wide event sponsored by Church World Services (CWS) and One CommUnity Now to raise funds to end hunger both locally and around the world.
Crop Hunger Walks help to provide food and water, as well as resources that empower people to meet their own needs. From seeds and tools, to wells and water systems, to technical training and micro-enterprise loans, the key is people working together to identify their own development priorities, their strengths and their needs—something CWS has learned through some 64 years of working in partnership around the world.
Pick up a donation envelope and start asking your friends and family to support you on this walk. 75% of the funds collected will go overseas to help fight hunger. The remaining 25% of all money collected will stay in our local community to help Metro –Pasco, Volunteer Way and the St. Vincent de Paul Society as they help the low income and homeless in our community.
When: Saturday, March 10 @ 8 AM
Where: Meet at Community Congregational Church, 6533 Circle Blvd, New Port Richey, FL
Who: Anyone and everyone of all ages are invited to participate in the walk.
What: Help fight hunger by asking your friends and family for donations. Join the community as we walk around Orange Lake between 9 AM - 11AM.
