The Definition of G-MEN: Every man at Generations Christian Church is part of the Men’s Ministry and, therefore, is a member of G-Men.
The DNA of G-MEN: When we dedicate ourselves to "being with Christ," He transforms our lives by transforming our hearts. It takes courage, born of conviction, to step forward and be used by God on a mission because we know God will take us out of our comfort zone. What it does not take is a special talent, skill, or gifts – just making yourself available to God is enough. Jesus will provide anything that you are lacking. Moses, Peter, John, and Paul… the Bible is filled with ordinary men being used in extraordinary ways; and it is no accident that God highlights these men in scripture. Wherever we start, and whichever method we use, our singular goal should be to faithfully present Christ to men. Like Paul, let's use every conceivable technique we can to show, declare, reason with, prove, and persuade men that Jesus is the Christ and that they should make a full surrender of their lives to Him.
The mission of G-MEN: To meet men where they are and provide the process that connects men to Christ. Generations will offer men the opportunity to fellowship together through large and small group sessions, as well as recreational activities. Our desire is for men to build strong relationships with other Christian brothers and equip them to reach out into the community as disciples for Christ.
The G-Men are directed by several core teams. The goal of these teams is to create an environment that connects men to Christ. Please prayerfully consider your interest in being part of one these teams. If you have questions or would like to be part of a Lead Team, please contact Jim Reading or Joe Platania.
Team 1. Coaching Team: Direct and act as a resource for men’s small groups, connection groups, and table coaches for large groups. Responsibilities include maintaining a list of active small groups and contact data, train and coach men that will serve as leaders of connection groups and small groups, and identify and train table discussion leaders for large group sessions.
Team 2. Event and Activity Team: Develop and manage the standard operating procedures for any G-men related events. Develop and plan quarterly large bringer events (i.e. fishing tournament, chili cook off).
Team 3. Marketing and Funding Team: Establish G-MEN brand, manage marketing materials, and drive funds needed to produce large quarterly events.
Team 4. Curriculum and Research Team: Identify study resources and develop ideas for men’s small groups, 4-6 week men’s bible studies, and weekly large group events like the Men’s Fraternity event.
Team 5. Prayer Team: Organize a group of men to pray for the ministry daily and communicate specific items to pray for in a targeted fashion.
