One Community Now

In 2007, Generations Christian Church sent a group of 12 people to an Outreach Conference in Colorado and they came back with a vision to unite and strenghten our community through works of service. One Community Now was formed as a 501c3, faith-based organization with the goal of bringing local churches, businesses and organizations together to help meet the un-met and under-met needs within Pasco County. Today, we are a team of over 40 different churches, businesses and organizations focusing on Education, Poverty Alleviation, and Neighborhood Transformation.

Every child should have an opportunity to learn and get an education. One Community Now partners are passionate about working with Pasco schools to help support teachers and assist children in the following areas:

  • Tools For School Collection of school supplies for teachers and children
  • Pasco Pack A Sack Food 4 Kids for food insecure children
  • School Volunteers assist in the classroom, mentor and tutor children

Poverty Alleviation

Every person should have sufficient food, clothing and shelter, but alleviation does not come from a hand out. We work with partner organizations in the community to assist the homeless population and those at risk of homelessness to gain self-sufficiency by providing resources and education that can help alleviate poverty.

Neighborhood Impact

All families should have the opportunity to live in a safe community where they know their neighbors and can help one another in times of need. We believe relationships are the key to building stronger neighborhoods. We desire to help strengthen community civic associations and enhance programs for children and families. Our first neighborhood to work in is Holiday Lake Estates in Holiday.

  • Sports programs (soccer, basketball and cheerleading)
  • Neighborhood clean up projects
  • Seasonal community events
  • Getting Ahead in a Just Getting By World
  • Bridges out of Poverty
