Pastor Greg Johnson

Growing up in Ethiopia as the son of missionary parents, Don & Beth Alice Johnson, Greg developed his passion for the church and his heart for people that propelled him through college (Milligan College & Emmanuel Christian Seminary) and a lifetime of Christian ministry.

Greg and his wife, Becky, raised their two daughters, Jocelyn & Kristin, planted churches, developed leaders and led community development and famine-relief projects among the Maasai tribe of Kenya (1978-1997). As Director of Marketplace Ministries for CMFI (1997-2002), Greg developed partnerships, strategies and teams to get Christian workers into places not open to traditional mission methods.

Greg accepted the call as Lead Pastor of Generations Christian Church (formerly First Christian Church of Tarpon Springs) in 2002 and, just like in their mission career, Greg and Becky continue connecting people to Christ. Greg is a relational and visionary leader – genuinely caring about people and continually seeking to advance the kingdom of Christ – across the street and around the globe!

Pastor Johnny Scott

Johnny Scott grew up in Colorado and finished high school in Indiana.  From earliest memories, Johnny felt a call and love for ministry in the church.

Johnny traveled for 15 years with the worship band Foundation Red and worked with state teen conventions, retreats and summer camps leading worship. Shortly after graduation from Cincinnati Christian University in 1999, Johnny began a 12-year ministry with Christ In Youth (CIY).  While at CIY, Johnny led the largest junior high national tour in the country, wrote multiple books and created teaching curriculum for junior high leaders

In 1996, Johnny married the preacher's daughter, Jen.  They have three boys: Riley (18) who attends Ozark Christian College, Aiden (14), and Finnley (12).

The Scott family has most recently served at Lifebridge Church in Windermere, FL.  Johnny and Jen look forward to getting connected here at Generations Christian Church and continuing the mission of connecting people to Christ!
